The 2025 Met Gala took place on April 5th, with the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” In case you didn’t know, the Met Gala is an annual fundraiser for the Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
This year’s event brought out some of the biggest names in entertainment and fashion. Notable attendees included Chappell Roan, Zendaya, Doechii, Tyla, Simone Biles, and the legendary Diana Ross, who returned to the Met Gala for the first time in 22 years.
The red carpet was filled with stunning looks that honored the theme. Some of the best-dressed guests, in my opinion, were Jodie Turner-Smith, Angel Reese, Cynthia Erivo, Chappell Roan, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Lana Del Rey, and, of course, Diana Ross.
Overall, the 2025 Met Gala was a huge success, not just fashion-wise, but financially too. The event broke its previous fundraising record, bringing in an impressive $31 million for the museum.
