With the final exemption policy adopted at FSHS, students are more motivated to attend school and perform better academically. According to the policy, students can be exempt from a class’s final exam if they have a grade of C or higher, no more than three tardies, and no more than sixteen absences (excluding activity and medical absences). However, any office referral or unexcused absence makes the final mandatory.
These guidelines encourage students to stay engaged in school and maintain responsible behavior throughout the semester. By rewarding strong attendance, good conduct, and solid academic performance, the policy promotes the kind of habits that lead to long-term success. It’s a positive incentive for students who are focused, disciplined, and invested in their education.
