Many choir, band, and orchestra students gave up their Saturday to attend blind auditions at Pittsburg High School. They practiced their music together and supported each other during their time slots. Each student performed the audition pieces while out of view from the judges and were scored. Thirteen of the auditionees qualified with one more student making it as an alternate–all eight orchestra members, four choir members, and one band member (plus the alternate).

Sypher Cannon, Copy Editor
Sypher Fay Cannon, the OG nerd, is the copy editor in this year's The Tiger Times Staff. The state Orchestra Ensemble attendee is not fully using their abilities in the Scholars Bowl, Math Club, Theatre, and Orchestra. They spend their weekends and free time working at Cohn’s as a host, reading, and “sleeping tbh”. Something they are proud of is that in their first year of High School, they went to state as the only bassist. They joined The Tiger Times so they could have a class to do some creative writing. We are happy to have them in this class.
