The Fort Scott football team wrapped up their season on November 9th. They played in the Regional playoff game against Tonganoxie and lost 28-34. Led by (Sr.) quarterback Lennox Vann and (Sr.) O/D line Luke Harris, the Tigers ended the season 6-4.
The Tigers have 17 seniors graduating this year: Malaki Cady, Dub Chipman, Wesley Cox, Jaden Garcia, Damion Gavin, Brody Gomez, JC Gross, Luke Harris, Nolan Madison, Ty Marbery, Eli Martin, Brady Messer, Colton Rogers, Morgan Shawn, Blake Tomasi, Lennox Vann, and Adam Wright.
When the seniors were asked what they learned from their 4 years as a Tiger, (Sr.) Lennox Vann and (Sr.) Luke Harris said, “Leadership and hard work are what we take away most.” I then had the opportunity to ask Harris what he will miss most from football, and he replied, “Playing with the same kids that I’ve played with since I’ve been in 3rd grade.” Most of these seniors grew up playing football together, and November 9th marked their last time together on Frary Field – they made memories and friends that will last a lifetime.
The Tigers will look for (Jr.) Ryder Newton, (Jr.) Jacob Adams, and (Jr.) Trace Metcalf to lead this FSHS Tiger football team next year.
