On November 8th, Walmart celebrated the new and improved store. The FSHS band, varsity choir, orchestra, cheer, and dance team all showed up to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening Celebration. As customers and staff members walked in and out, the dance team and cheer squad greeted them with “Go Walmart!” cheers and a wave of flying pom poms. The band outside played a few songs, including “Don’t Stop Believing” and the iconic “Tiger Fight Song”. Once inside again, the varsity choir sang the National Anthem with multiple Veterans dressed in their attire watching. Everyone then gathered to witness the ribbon cutting. Although Heather, the manager of the store, struggled at first to cut it, she was able to cut it and the crowd cheered and applauded. Once this was over, Walmart workers went back to work while people who helped with the ceremony got in a line to gather free goodies like Walmart swag bags, snacks, and drinks.
