Every year the FSHS junior class raises money for prom by selling candy bars. In previous years, they would sell a box of multi-flavored chocolate bars from World’s Finest Chocolate. However, this year, the junior class is now selling a box of candy that many students dislike.
The new candy selection includes Crunch, Skittles, Peanut M&M’s, Snickers, Butterfingers, and Twix. However, from the awkward price of $2.50 to the change in options, many students aren’t happy with the update. They preferred the old candy bars, which offered milk chocolate, almond, dark chocolate, caramel, W.F. crisp, and wafer varieties—all for just a dollar each. Sometimes, newer isn’t always better, and the new candy boxes are proving to be a prime example.
