Our girls’ Cross Country team is constantly fighting one of their biggest competitors: Labette County. At the SEK league meet, the cross country team finished 2nd overall by only a 4-point difference from Labette County’s 1st place finish. This was possible because of our four girls—Jocelyn Fess, Kodi Casper, Rylee Loercher, and Jerri Smith—who all placed in the top ten.
Something else noteworthy was that our boys’ Cross Country team placed 5th overall with an almost all freshman team that was led by senior Josh Woellhof.
These big wins for the team have set the tone for the upcoming regionals this Saturday, 10/26/24, where they will compete with the mindset needed to qualify for state.
