Our Cross Country state qualifiers were met with dreadful weather on Saturday at Wamego venue course before they ran. Along with the weather, the Wamego course is known as one of the worst courses. Despite it being 48 degrees and storming, the girls team left it all on the table beating their rivals, Labette County, and placing 10th overall. Senior Jocelyn Fess placed 47th out of 99 and Senior Josh Woelhoff placed in the top 70 out of 102. When asked how she felt about the team’s performance, Jocelyn Fess answered that “our girls ran really, especially for being such a young team, and Josh ran really well for not having anyone to be there with him.” It was a great end to the season!
