Winter Storm Cora, which initially started in the South, moved across the U.S. this past weekend. Cora brought a substantial amount of snow and ice to a wide range of areas, including local towns. Places in the southeast Kansas area saw a few inches of snow and ice, resulting in nearly all schools being closed for Friday, January 10th. Additionally, this had an impact on extracurricular activities, like sports, and most either had to be canceled or postponed.
While the three-day weekend was very nice, school and other activities will be back in session this week. Stay warm!
