On Tuesday, Jan 7, 2025, our basketball teams had their home opener against Frontenac. Our girls had an exhilarating first half and then took off in the second half. They beat Frontenac by 15 points, with a final score of 41-26. Our boys also had a fascinating game. They started hot and ended up cooling off as the game went on. The boys weren’t as fortunate and ended up losing to Frontenac with a score of 45-54. These games move our girls’ record to (6-0) and our boys’ record to (0-6).
During halftime of the boys’ game, our dancers and cheerleaders showed us their performances which earned them a spot at state in November. They were very exciting to watch. We also had our first halftime game with Cooper Cannon (So) and Luci Dunkenson (Sr) having a shoot-off for a chance to win a gift card.
As the season rolls on, the girls are looking to keep the train rolling and the boys are looking to power through and get back on the right track. Let’s wish both teams good luck as they continue on with their seasons.
