Meet FSHS track superstar, Kiptyn Hunziker. Kiptyn, the 4+ year competitor, and Fort Scott High School freshman has many great successes.The most notable for her however was “…In 2023 when I finally placed on the podium at the AAU Junior Olympics for the first time after training hard for months.”
However, she is currently focusing on her track and field journey here at FSHS. Kiptyn’s goals for the season include “ …to stay positive with myself and hit the times I need to hit to qualify for state.”
Aside from her high performance, Kiptyn also demonstrates strong sportsmanship and a positive attitude. This mindset keeps her going through the good moments, as well as the bad, including last summer when Kiptyn was not “hitting the times I needed to even though I was pushing my body to the limits and training super hard.”
The commitment to continue even when things are difficult are what makes great athletes like Kiptyn succeed.
