State JAG took place Mar. 10 at the Hyatt Regency in Wichita, where students had the opportunity to compete for Nationals.
Junior Julie’Anna Dixon went to state for public speaking, in which she talked about how much JAG has helped her. Dixon stated that she likes JAG because “This class basically takes real-life experience and turns it into something employers will actually notice.”
Dixon also shared that they had a wide range of prizes, giving out thousand-dollar scholarships. JAG students also got to meet the head of the JAG-K program, Chuck Knapp.
Even though Dixon didn’t make it to Nationals, she said it was an “eye-opening experience”, and she hopes to go back next year.
