K-Pop Demon Hunters has topped music charts, taking seven spots in the top 10, making it the highest-charting soundtrack for an animated film in 2025. It currently holds a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.6 rating on IMDB.
The film is Netflix’s most-watched title of all time, with 236 million streams since its release. It also reached the platform’s top 10 in 93 countries.
The story that has taken the internet by storm goes like this: Three K-pop stars, Rumi, Mira and Zoe, are not only popular idols but also demon hunters. After a world tour filled with singing and slaying, a new K-pop group called the Saja Boys rises to fame. The twist? They’re demons. It’s up to the girls to protect the people.
When I first saw that the movie had come out, I thought it was going to be weird. However, despite the traction it gained, I decided to give it a chance, and I didn’t regret it. This movie was truly heartwarming. It was funny, carried a good message throughout and has become one of my favorite movies of the year.
